Babar Azam reacts to Virat Kohli's comments

 Virat Kohli, the star player for India, lauded Pakistan captain Babar Azam, who was thrilled to hear it and spoke about their mutual respect.

In an interview with standout Sports last year, Kohli expressed his respect for Pakistan's standout batter Babar Azam and recalled their first meeting.

He showed me a lot of respect and regard right away, and that hasn't changed. Despite the fact that he constantly performs at a high level and deserves to be considered the best batsman in the world across all formats. I've always loved watching him play since he has such incredible talent.

Babar is now performing and becoming more confident, thus his attitude hasn't altered. I don't perceive a change in his demeanour or strategy towards me.

Prior to the Asia Cup, Babar responded to Virat's remarks on Star Sports and spoke about Virat's impact on his performance.

Over the years, both hitters have performed admirably in ODI matches. Babar averages 59.47 runs per innings in this format and has scored 5353 runs overall. His most recent score was a match-winning 151 against Nepal. He ranks second for Pakistan in the format with 19 One Day International hundreds.

In contrast, Virat has 12898 runs with an average score of 57.32. His 46 ODI hundreds rank second all-time in the history of the format.
