India's squad for the 2023 Asia Cup was announced as Shreyas Iyer-KL Rahul is back, and Tilak Varma is called up for his first ODI

 India's 17-man travelling team for the 2023 Asia Cup was announced on Monday. Captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar then held a news conference in Delhi.



India's performance in the continental tournament, which will be contested in a 50-over format this year, will be crucial to their hopes at the premier event later this year at home. India has its sights set on the ODI World Cup. KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, who have both been recovering from a thigh and a back ailment, both have serious questions about their readiness. In the three-match T20I series against Ireland, the fitness of speed spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has come as a welcome surprise, and he is set to be a member of the Asia Cup squad.
