The India vs. Pakistan World Cup game will now take place in Ahmedabad on October 14 rather than the previously scheduled date of October 15. According to a PTI report, this alteration resulted from a deal that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) negotiated with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to shift the dates of two of its matches.
This change in dates means that Pakistan will now play Sri Lanka in Hyderabad on October 10 rather than October 12.
The India vs. Pakistan game had to be postponed due to worries over security deployment on the first day of the Navratri holiday in Ahmedabad.
The ICC will shortly provide a new schedule in light of these adjustments, as it's possible that a few additional matches featuring different teams will also be postponed.
